When it comes to your voice and your performance/presentation, tension is the enemy. These poses are a starting point to help you identify and release where you might be holding tension that is interfering with the free and full expression of your voice.

If you are interested in taking this further, I offer one-on-one virtual lessons where we explore methods to find what works best for you. Just click on the lessons tab, fill out the form above, or shoot me an email at karyn@karynoliver.com.

OM

Once your body is prepared for singing, it’s time to think about the choices we can make while singing. For me, this boils down to a few points of focus:

Claim your space, check in, take a breath
Learn to take a full breath
Learn how to control your exhale
Learn when to breathe – where to take a breath
Learn how to find and release tension
1. Is it in my jaw, neck, shoulders, chest, tongue…?
