Karyn Oliver: Music

Isn't It Funny

(Karyn Oliver)
words and music by Karyn Oliver Lehr, recorded at Studio Louise
This is just a bit of craziness. There are actually a few bits and pieces taken from past relationship experiences, but most of it is pure fiction (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it).
We recorded this in Bill's basement. Craig Carmen is playng drums. This definitely garage rock - very unrefined.
ISN’T IT FUNNY

Woke up this morning and you smiled at me
I made scrambled eggs and instant coffee
You said you were going away with her
You said, “ Isn’t it funny?

You asked me if you could take my car
I gave you the keys and you said, “Well there you are”
You drove away with someone new
You said, “Isn’t it funny?

You wrecked my car somewhere in New Jersey
Called me up to ask for money
And would I mind sending your guitar?
And, “Isn’t it funny?

I saw you out on the street today
You acted like you didn’t know my name
I took my new car and I ran you down
I said, “Isn’t it funny?”
